Concord Country Club

Tuesday Twilight League - 2008

Format: Two man teams play a nine-hole match each week. Strokes are based on 80% handicap differential off of the lowest handicap in the match. Each division will be assigned a designated nine holes for the week (usually alternating outward and inward nines, course conditions permitting). Rained out matches are cancelled (no make-ups).

Scoring:

Regular Season: 2 points for each hole won; 1 point for each hole halved; and 0 points for each hole lost.

2 bonus points for each match won

1 bonus point if both regular team members compete

Halved matches do not earn any bonus points.

Challenge Matches: The same scoring format for individual holes and the bonus attendance point. Match winners earn 5 bonus points and all matches must have a winner. Halved matches will be played off at sudden-death to determine a winner.

2008 Divisions: Redhook ESB and Widmer Hefe-Weisen

Closest-to-the-Pins: One each week per division - $15.00 pro shop credit

Tuesday Twilight League Awards Banquet:  Tuesday, August 26th

Note #1: Those in the Redhood ESB Division will notice that there are (17) teams within. This means there will be an odd team every week. Instead of having an automatic bye, the odd team will play nine holes against the card. This means they are playing against par in relation to your handicaps. You will play at 80% of your full handicap for the nine holes. You earn points as you would in a head-to-head best-ball match: 2 points for a win (net birdie or better), 1 point for a halved hole (net par), 0 points for a loss (net bogey or worse). Bonus points apply in the same manner as a head-to-head match.

Note #2: There are no teams of the week this year. The beer awards have been eliminated and the funds have been used to extend the prize earnings to 7 places (see budget sheet) for the regular season.

NH Distributors will be donating us “stuff” (TBD) to give as prizes.

Remember to:

1. Turn in your scorecard to the Pro Shop staff as soon as your match is completed.

2. Post your nine-hole scores to keep your handicap current.

GOOD LUCK, PLAY WELL, AND HAVE FUN.
